Who is Jesse Lecat?

Hello! I'm the author of NEIGHBOTS: TOP SECRET, the first book in a new series for ages 10 and older. Jesse Lecat is my pen name for these books. I'm a drummer and I play tennis and I read a lot, but the thing I enjoy most is writing and publishing stories.

You might be wondering how I came up with a crazy title like NEIGHBOTS. The truth is, it was totally by accident. It was a typo. I was working on a book, and I typed the word neighbors, only I hit the key for the t instead of the key for the r. I saw the word on the screen and immediately started thinking about a story that involved neighbors who are robots. Then I started thinking about how maybe these bots have been around for decades, living among us without us knowing about it.

So that was the basic concept, the seed for what eventually became the first book in the series.
